What You'll Do
- Responsible for oversight of equipment repair, preventive maintenance, and building systems operations
- Manage campus inventory control systems and procurement processes
- Implement security protocols and emergency evacuation procedures
- Conduct quarterly safety inspections and ensure compliance with fire and building codes
- Assist Campus President with budgetary planning and expense management
- Oversee contractor work for electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Monitor campus facilities to ensure optimal condition and functionality
- 4+ years experience in facilities management and security,
- Knowledge of inventory control and procurement processes
- Understanding of fire codes and safety protocols
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and facilities management software
- Military or law enforcement background helpful
- Supervise maintenance staff to:
- repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand and power tools
- reassemble equipment
- perform routine preventive maintenance
- ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the building(s) does not deteriorate
- Detect criminal activity and reports appropriate matters to local law enforcement agencies for proper resolution
- Develop and implement proper evacuation procedures, to ensure effective egress of students and staff in the event of an emergency
- Ensure quarterly safety inspections are completed
- See to the inspection of hallways, classrooms, and office areas, to ensure compliance with state and local fire and building codes
- Assist the Campus President with budgetary matters, campus procurement, and expenses
- Oversee any assembling, installing and/or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment, in reference to staff or licensed contractors to perform jobs requiring permits
- Manage the maintenance staff or work performed by licensed contractors
- Develop and implement proper evacuation procedures, to ensure effective egress of students and staff in the event of an emergency
