This role requires a strong people leader who can inspire, coach, and develop a geographically dispersed sales team while ensuring consistent execution of strategy, customer-centricity, and profitable growth in one of Europe’s most strategically important markets for pharmaceutical and personal care manufacturing.
The RSM will play a key role in shaping the regional commercial strategy, strengthening key customer and distributor partnerships, and acting as a representative of the Life Sciences Division at regional leadership forums.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Own and execute the regional sales strategy for Germany and Switzerland, in line with business and growth objectives.
- Lead, manage and develop the regional sales team, driving performance, engagement and capability building.
- Deliver revenue, margin and growth targets across the assigned territory.
- Drive new business development while expanding and retaining strategic customers in Pharma and Personal Care.
- Manage key accounts and senior customer relationships, acting as the primary commercial contact for the region.
- Lead complex commercial negotiations and oversee long-term agreements and pricing strategies.
- Analyse market trends, customer needs and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities.
- Ensure accurate sales forecasting, pipeline management and reporting through CRM and internal tools.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Marketing, Technical, Operations and Supply Chain teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Ensure full compliance with pharmaceutical regulations, internal policies and ethical selling standard
- Location: Germany
- Ability to travel approximately 50% across the region.
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, microbiology, or another relevant scientific or technical discipline.
- 7–10 years of progressively increasing managerial responsibility in a B2B sales and/or service organization.
- Demonstrated success in leading and developing remote sales teams.
- Strong track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
- Prior experience within the pharmaceutical, personal care, healthcare, or medical devices industries.
- Strong commercial acumen combined with a solid technical and scientific understanding.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and influencing skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
- Fluent in English and German is required.
- Additional languages (e.g. French) are a strong plus
