Our next-generation software platform connects health system-based pharmacies, labs, and other departments to a network of medical couriers for better accountability, visibility, and patient experience. We are driven by the goal of delivering better logistics solutions and improving patient care.

We are expanding into a new market, connecting health system-based pharmacies and clinics across the Greater New Haven area. To support this launch, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Operations Manager to lead local market operations, ensuring seamless service delivery and high client satisfaction.

Role Description

This is a full-time, hybrid role for an Operations Manager responsible for overseeing the day-to-day logistics operations across multiple pharmacy and clinic locations within the Greater New Haven area.

The Operations Manager will be responsible for:

- Managing all aspects of the local market’s logistics operations, including routing, dispatching, warehouse oversight, and service performance.

- Building efficient and accurate delivery routes with an in-depth understanding of the Greater New Haven service area.

- Hiring, onboarding, and supporting a network of independent contractor couriers (ICCs) while maintaining clear classification boundaries.

- Serving as the primary point of contact for pharmacy managers, healthcare partners, and internal teams to ensure service satisfaction.

- Monitoring operational performance metrics to ensure quality, accuracy, and timeliness of deliveries.

- Collaborating with the Regional Operations Manager to develop and maintain market-level strategies, process improvements, and expansion goals.

- Managing warehouse and sort center operations to ensure effective facility organization and compliance.

- Fostering teamwork across all departments to promote collaboration, accountability, and shared success.

- Stepping into field operations when needed to maintain business continuity.

The ideal candidate will be motivated, driven, and eager to grow with the company while excelling in a fast-paced logistics environment, comfortable managing a remote and contract-based workforce, and proactive in ensuring operational excellence.

Location

This position will support operations across the New Haven, CT area and surrounding cities. The role is hybrid, with a mix of remote administrative work and frequent field engagement. Candidates must reside in or near this corridor and have reliable transportation to travel within the service area as needed.

The Operations Manager will report directly to the Regional Operations Manager.

Qualifications

- 3+ years of experience in Logistics or Operations Management

- Proven experience hiring and managing independent contractor workforces (1099 model)

- Experience leading or collaborating with remote and distributed teams

- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- In-depth knowledge of the Greater New Haven area for accurate route building

- Proficiency with logistics and communication software, including Slack, Microsoft Teams, and routing systems

- Familiarity with VoIP phone systems is a plus

- Experience in the healthcare or medical courier industry is a plus

- Experience or ability to learn shipping via commercial air freight and indirect air carrier operations

- Experience in facilities and/or sort center management preferred

- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
