Private Equity-Backed Residential Services Platform

Location: Flexible / Preference of being based in Eastern or Central timezone

About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a rapidly growing private equity-backed residential services platform positioned for transformational growth through strategic acquisitions and operational scale. The company has established a strong foundation at approximately $60M in revenue and is executing an aggressive growth strategy with the goal of scaling beyond $150M+ through a combination of M&A, integration, and organic expansion.

The private equity sponsor is highly experienced in scaling founder-led and lower-middle-market businesses into institutional-quality platforms. The incoming CFO will play a critical role in helping architect that transformation while serving as a trusted strategic advisor to the CEO, Board, and investors.

This is a highly visible opportunity for a hands-on, commercially minded finance leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments and understands the unique demands of scaling a PE-backed residential services organization.

Position Overview

The CFO will serve as a key strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team, responsible for leading all financial functions of the organization while helping drive enterprise-wide growth, operational scalability, and value creation.

This executive will help shape the company’s growth strategy, support acquisition activity and integration execution, build scalable financial infrastructure, and provide data-driven insights that improve decision-making across the business.

The ideal candidate has prior experience within the residential services industry and has successfully operated in a private equity-backed environment where growth has been fueled by acquisitions, integration, and operational transformation.

This role requires a leader who can operate strategically in the boardroom while also remaining close to the business operationally.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Partnership & Leadership

  • Serve as the primary strategic and financial advisor to the CEO, providing insight on growth strategy, capital allocation, operational performance, and value creation initiatives.
  • Partner closely with the Board and private equity sponsor on strategic planning, financial performance, and long-term scaling initiatives.
  • Help build a data-driven organization with strong accountability, KPI visibility, and operational discipline.

Financial Leadership & Infrastructure

  • Lead all core finance functions including FP&A, accounting, treasury, cash management, reporting, tax, audit, and financial controls.
  • Build scalable financial systems, processes, and reporting infrastructure capable of supporting rapid multi-site growth.
  • Improve forecasting accuracy, operational reporting, and decision-support analytics across the organization.
  • Drive working capital optimization and cash flow management initiatives.

M&A & Integration

  • Support acquisition strategy through financial diligence, modeling, integration planning, and synergy tracking.
  • Lead financial integration efforts across acquired businesses, including systems, reporting, controls, and KPI standardization.
  • Develop scalable acquisition onboarding and integration playbooks to support continued platform expansion.
  • Partner with operations leadership to ensure acquisitions achieve expected financial and operational outcomes.

Operational Finance & Performance Improvement

  • Partner with operational leaders to improve margin performance, pricing discipline, labor productivity, fleet utilization, and branch-level profitability.
  • Drive KPI accountability throughout the organization using actionable financial and operational metrics.
  • Support initiatives focused on improving customer retention, service efficiency, and scalability.

Team Building & Organizational Development

  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing finance and accounting organization capable of supporting significant scale.
  • Build credibility and partnership across field operations, branch leadership, and corporate functions.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, urgency, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
