The Job Description

As the Accounting Associate, you will play a pivotal role in building the accounting department within Jack and Sage. You will report to the Financial Controller and focus on accounting operations and financial analysis for Jack and Sage. You will focus on aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable. You will also process payroll on a bi-weekly basis gaining valuable payroll accounting experience along the way.

Key Responsibilities

Transactional Accounting

1. Maintain accurate and up to date financial transaction data within Jack and Sage’s ERP
2. Complete monthly reconciliations of bank and credit card feeds to ensure accuracy

Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable

1. Reach out to collect outstanding accounts receivable bills from customers
2. Input bills and store the data for accounts payable bills for timely payment
3. Pay vendors for materials needed for production

Financial Planning & Analysis

1. Work on various projects to help leadership gain insights into financial performance for many parts of the company
2. Develop various reporting mechanisms to unlock new insights and to reinforce existing insights

Payroll/HR

1. Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis to ensure all employees and contractors of Jack and Sage are paid timely and accurately
2. Create journal entries based on payroll records
3. Serve as a point of contact for any HR related questions and escalate as necessary

Required

• 2+ years of full-time accounting experience

• Denver, CO based– we are currently not considering candidates re-locating

Strongly Preferred

• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with ERP systems

• Compensation: $60,000 - $72,0000
• Benefits: Health Plan (60% of premiums), 3% Match of IRA
