Position Summary
• The COO is responsible for aligning and leading operational functions across development, pre-construction, and construction to ensure successful execution of the company’s vision, growth strategy, and operational priorities.
• This role serves as the integrator of strategy and execution, partnering closely with the CEO to translate vision into scalable operational performance while reinforcing a servant leadership culture centered on accountability, collaboration, development, and long-term organizational health.
• This is a builder’s role requiring the ability to strengthen and scale systems, teams, leadership infrastructure, and operational consistency while supporting sustainable long-term growth.
Operational Leadership
• Provide high-level oversight across development, pre-construction, and construction in partnership with department leaders
• Ensure alignment of people, processes, systems, and resources
• Establish operational accountability rhythms and reporting cadences
• Partner with leaders to address operational challenges and enable execution
• Strengthen operational consistency and organizational readiness for growth
Development, Pre-Construction & Construction Oversight
• Provide high-level oversight across the full project lifecycle
• Ensure alignment and continuity across all phases
• Support leaders in planning, budgeting, scheduling, execution, quality, and safety outcomes
• Reinforce operational standards and accountability
• Champion operational excellence, innovation, and scalable growth strategies
Strategy Execution & CEO Partnership
• Translate organizational vision into operational priorities and measurable outcomes
• Drive execution through ownership, accountability, and leadership alignment
• Hold leaders accountable to KPIs and performance metrics
• Provide insight into operational performance, risks, opportunities, and organizational health
• Support prioritization and long-term organizational focus
• Help create operational capacity that allows the CEO to remain focused on growth and strategy
Executive Leadership & Team Development
• Lead through executive leaders over Construction and Human Resources while directly overseeing the IT function
• Partner as both accountable leader and collaborative peer
• Provide clarity, guidance, support, and accountability
• Partner with Human Resources on succession planning and leadership development
• Foster servant leadership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Support development of high-performing teams capable of sustaining long-term growth
Systems, Process & Organizational Scalability
• Strengthen scalable systems, operational frameworks, SOPs, and reporting structures
• Identify and address gaps in people, process, communication, and technology
• Improve operational visibility through reporting and system integration
• Champion technology and systems that improve coordination, efficiency, and scalability
• Support infrastructure and leadership systems required for continued growth
Financial & Performance Oversight
• Partner on budgeting, forecasting, operational planning, and performance management
• Align operational decisions with profitability goals and margin protection
• Monitor operational and project performance metrics
• Support disciplined operational decision-making and sustainable growth

Qualifications
• 10–15+ years of senior leadership experience in commercial real estate, development, construction, or related industries
• Extensive experience across development, pre-construction, and construction operations
• Experience scaling operations, systems, and teams within a growth-oriented environment
• Experience leading through executive leaders and cross-functional teams
• Strong operational and financial acumen
Knowledge & Expertise
• Deep understanding of the commercial construction and development lifecycle
• Strong knowledge of estimating, budgeting, scheduling, operational reporting, and project controls
• Experience building scalable operational systems and accountability structures
• Financial fluency related to operational efficiency, margin protection, and organizational growth
• Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, and related technologies
