Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in data analytics, with ≥3 years in a leadership role preferred.
  • Demonstrated success delivering analytics solutions in a manufacturing or heavy industry environment.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python/R, statistical modeling, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire).
  • Strong understanding of industrial engineering concepts (process mapping, lean, Six Sigma) and operational metrics.

THE WORK

  • Strategic Leadership
  • Define and execute an analytics roadmap aligned with IE and operations priorities (capacity planning, productivity, cost reduction, quality improvement).
  • Partner with IE, Operations, Quality and Supply Chain and Finance leaders to translate business challenges into analytical solutions.
  • Team Management
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a team of data engineers and analysts.
  • Set performance metrics, career development plans, and promote a collaborative, innovative team culture.
  • Analytics Delivery
  • Oversee end to end projects: data acquisition, cleaning, modeling, validation, and visualization.
  • Deliver dashboards, KPI reports, predictive models, and optimization tools on schedule.
  • Technical Governance
  • Champion data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
  • Standardize data pipelines, documentation, and version control processes.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Evaluate emerging analytics technologies (ML/AI, advanced simulation) for relevance to manufacturing.
  • Foster a culture of rapid prototyping, experimentation, and iterative learning.

Who You Are

Sikorsky Operations at Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced analytics leader to head a high performing Data Analytics team that partners with Industrial Engineering and Operations leadership supporting all Product Centers at Sikorsky. The Manager will shape the analytics strategy, deliver data driven solutions that improve productivity, reduce cost, enhance quality, and cultivate a culture of data enabled decision making across manufacturing and operational functions.

Desired Skills

  • Excellent communication skills; ability to convey complex technical ideas to non technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with MES / ERP (SAP, Oracle) data structures.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) or equivalent continuous improvement expertise.
  • Proven problem solving mindset, proactive ownership, and strategic thinking.
  • Ability to influence senior leadership and drive organization wide change.
