About the Opportunity
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Purchasing & Maintenance Assistant to support maintenance operations at the Fremantle Terminal. This role is critical to ensuring effective procurement, inventory control, accurate record keeping, and continuity of maintenance activities.
Working closely with the Engineering Manager and maintenance team, the role supports the timely availability of critical parts, maintenance planning, and operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support procurement activities in collaboration with the Purchasing & Facilities Officer
- Perform general warehouse duties including loading and unloading deliveries, picking and preparing orders, and labelling stock
- Conduct inventory reviews and stock takes
- Maintain accurate records in CMMS/CRM systems
- Ensure stock is correctly labelled, stored, and maintained
- Coordinate receival and dispatch of deliveries
- Support maintenance planning and scheduling activities
- Escort contractors and stakeholders on site in accordance with HSE requirements
- Maintain clean, safe, and organised workshop and storage areas
About your Experience
To be considered for this opportunity you will possess the following skills and experience:
- Experience in maintenance administration, inventory, procurement, or warehouse operations
- Excellent organisational, data entry skills
- Strong eye for detail
- Experience using CMMS or CRM systems is desirable
- Excellent initiate and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of OH&S policies and safe work practices
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external contractors
- Must be eligible to obtain an MSIC (Maritime Security Identification Card).
