Position Summary
The Member Growth & Community Engagement Manager is responsible for expanding Rockheads’ membership base, deepening member engagement, and protecting the culture that drives retention and revenue growth.
This role scales recruitment, strengthens peer group programs, and enhances field presence to support growth toward 200+ members nationally.
This position reports to the Executive Director.
Core Objectives
- Accelerate new member recruitment
- Strengthen retention through engagement systems
- Expand and manage our small peer groups “Bundle” program
- Increase field visibility and shop engagement
- Protect and scale Rockheads’ culture
Primary Responsibilities
1. Membership Recruitment & Pipeline Management
- Identify and target high-potential stone fabrication shops
- Conduct discovery calls and qualification interviews
- Manage prospect pipeline and follow-up cadence
- Collaborate with vendors to convert referred prospects
- Support onboarding of new members
2. Peer Group (Bundle) Program Expansion
- Launch and manage additional Bundles as membership grows
- Moderate select monthly peer meetings
- Monitor participation and engagement health
- Identify struggling members early and intervene
- Capture best practices emerging from group discussions
3. Field & Relationship Development
- Conduct in-person shop visits
- Host regional gatherings and meet-ups
- Strengthen member-owner relationships
- Capture video and testimonial content
- Serve as a visible ambassador for the organization
4. Community Engagement Management
- Stimulate activity within WhatsApp groups
- Monitor engagement levels across sub-groups
- Highlight wins and success stories
- Encourage cross-shop collaboration
- Maintain culture of generosity and accountability
5. Event Growth & Participation
- Support member recruitment tied to live events
- Ensure high engagement at in-person gatherings
- Assist in developing interactive programming formats
- Identify potential speakers within membership
Qualifications
- 5+ years in business development, association leadership, or industry-facing roles
- Experience in stone fabrication or adjacent construction trades highly preferred
- Strong relationship builder
- Comfortable presenting to 100+ attendees
- Proven sales or recruitment experience
- Willingness to travel nationally
