BIM/VDC Technician

The BIM/VDC Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Carrollton, GA. This position involves creating, managing, and revising Building Information Models (BIM) and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) plans to support mechanical and industrial projects. The technician will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to deliver detailed and accurate models, ensuring that all project standards and specifications are met. Additionally, the role includes the use of design software to coordinate layouts and detect potential conflicts in engineering designs, as well as optimizing workflows to improve construction processes.

• Proficiency in BIM and VDC software, such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, or AutoCAD
• Strong understanding of mechanical and industrial construction processes and systems
• Experience in project coordination, collaboration within multidisciplinary teams, and resolving design conflicts
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, blueprints, and shop drawings
• Knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and industry best practices
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work within deadlines
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Drafting, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred
• Previous experience in a similar role within the mechanical or industrial sector is an advantage but not required
