Job Summary

Database Administrator for Ann Arbor, MI.

Requires Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Computer Engineering or a related field + 2 years of related SQL database administration experience to include: managing large (TB+) databases; use of AWS, Azure, SQL Server 2019, SSAS, SSIS, SSRS, ETL, and Cloud storage; auditing for compliance; experience with backup tools, HA and DR techniques for securing SQL Server; and user database administration, including creating and granting privileges. Up to 100% remote work from home.

Responsibilities*

Ensure integrity, availability, security, and performance of databases for enterprise-wide systems as well as databases hosted for campus units. Work with SQQL Server and supporting other database platforms, perform full range of database administration (DBA) tasks, develop automation of routine DBA processes, and contribute to decisions about new database technologies.

Daily Tasks include: provision, patch, upgrade, and migrate SQL Server instances; monitor SQL Server instances and run queries; verify backup integrity, and investigate performance issues; troubleshoot network and other issues related to connecting to a database; use stored procedures, user-defined functions,
