PROK is seeking a proactive and technically capable Mechanical Draftsperson to join our engineering team in Bayswater, supporting the creation of accurate 3D models, assemblies, and drawings across our conveyor component product range.

This is a hands‑on role where your work will directly support manufacturing, sales, and operations in a fast‑paced, engineering‑led environment.

The Opportunity

In this role, you will be responsible for producing and maintaining accurate 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings across PROK’s full suite of conveyor component products.

You will play a key role in ensuring all design outputs meet company quality standards, customer requirements, and relevant Australian and International standards. The role also supports BOM management within the ERP system and contributes to ongoing product documentation and standardisation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain accurate 3D models and assemblies for PROK products
  • Produce high‑quality sales and manufacturing drawings within agreed timeframes
  • Ensure drawings comply with PROK standards, customer requirements, and AS/ISO standards
  • Apply correct revision control, part numbering, and lifecycle management within PDM systems
  • Support BOM creation and maintenance within the ERP system
  • Conduct peer checks and participate in drawing reviews
  • Drive standardisation and continuous improvement to reduce variation and cost
  • Liaise with engineering, sales, operations, and customers to clarify requirements
  • Support manufacturing with design queries and technical clarifications
  • Assist with documentation including IOMs, parts manuals, and job packs
  • Actively contribute to a safety‑first culture and apply safety‑in‑design principles

About You

You’re detail‑focused, organised, and enjoy working in a collaborative engineering environment. You take pride in producing accurate, practical, and manufacturable designs and thrive on contributing to high‑quality outcomes.

You Will Ideally Have

  • Experience creating and managing 3D CAD models and assemblies
  • Experience producing mechanical engineering drawings (detail, assembly, and sales)
  • Knowledge of GD&T and drawing standards (AS, ISO)
  • Experience with PDM/PLM systems and document control
  • Experience creating and managing BOMs within an ERP system
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Highly Regarded

  • Background in manufacturing, mining, or heavy industry
  • Exposure to conveyor systems or bulk material handling equipment
