System Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Windows Systems Engineer with deep enterprise infrastructure experience to join our team. You'll be a well-rounded systems generalist who owns Windows server environments at scale — including patch management — across a 24/7 operation. This role goes beyond patching; we need someone who thinks holistically about system health, stability, and lifecycle management across a large, complex environment.

What You'll Do

• Administer and maintain a fleet of 1,200+ Windows and Linux servers in a high-availability enterprise environment
• Own the end-to-end server lifecycle, including provisioning, configuration, hardening, and decommission
• Manage patching across Windows and Linux servers using modern tooling such as Azure Patch Management, Tanium, Automox, or similar platforms
• Collaborate with application owners and infrastructure teams to coordinate maintenance windows and meet uptime requirements in a 24/7 business
• Drive automation and continuous improvement across systems management processes

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience managing enterprise-scale Windows server environments (1,000+ servers)
• Strong working knowledge of Linux server administration alongside Windows
• Comfortable with both legacy and modern systems management tooling — familiarity with SCCM/MECM is a plus, but hands-on experience with cloud-native or third-party platforms like Azure Patch Management, Tanium, or Automox is preferred
• Experience supporting always-on, business-critical applications with an understanding of availability tradeoffs during maintenance activities
• Solid grasp of patch management as one component of broader systems operations — not the whole job
• Strong communication and cross-team coordination skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, PowerShell DSC, or Terraform
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks and audit support
• Background in regulated or high-availability industries
