We’re looking for a hands-on IT Systems Administrator to own day-to-day IT operations while helping scale and secure a fast-growing organization’s infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being the go-to internal IT expert—supporting employees, improving systems, and partnering with external providers to keep everything running smoothly.

You’ll play a key role in strengthening IT operations, enhancing security, and driving continuous improvement across both on-prem and cloud environments.

What You’ll Be Doing

IT Operations & Help Desk

  • Own and manage the internal help desk (ticket intake, prioritization, resolution)
  • Serve as the primary technical resource for employees across hardware, software, and network issues
  • Escalate and coordinate with external IT partners when needed

Infrastructure & Systems

  • Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade systems, software, and hardware
  • Support servers, workstations, and network environments (cloud + physical)
  • Perform routine maintenance, patches, and system updates
  • Assist with infrastructure upgrades and buildouts

Network & Security

  • Monitor network security and implement best practices
  • Configure and maintain firewalls, routers, switches, and access controls
  • Manage user access, permissions, and system security
  • Support internal security initiatives, including testing and training

Employee Lifecycle & IT Admin

  • Manage onboarding/offboarding (accounts, devices, licenses)
  • Maintain IT asset inventory and coordinate procurement
  • Train employees on systems, tools, and best practices

Continuous Improvement

  • Help evaluate, test, and implement new tools and technologies
  • Recommend system and process improvements aligned with business needs
  • Maintain clear documentation of systems and configurations

Vendor Management

  • Act as the internal liaison for IT service providers
  • Coordinate support, integrations, and maintenance
  • Evaluate vendor performance and recommend improvements

Qualifications

  • 3–7+ years of experience in IT systems administration, infrastructure, or similar roles
  • Strong experience with Windows & Mac OS environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration
  • Solid networking knowledge (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, WAN/LAN)
  • Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, and VMware
  • Hands-on help desk and end-user support experience
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and access management
  • Ability to troubleshoot across hardware, software, and network layers
  • Experience working with or alongside MSPs is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment

What’s Offered

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off
  • Additional wellness benefits (FSA, life insurance, supplemental coverage)
  • Opportunity for growth within a rapidly scaling organization
