In this dynamic and highly collaborative role, you will manage a portfolio of engaged and prospective donors, guiding them through a thoughtful journey of connection, investment, and long-term partnership. You will play a key role in securing funding for both immediate program needs and long-term strategic initiatives—including capital campaign efforts.
Working closely with senior leadership, program teams, and community partners, you will translate Harbor Care’s impact into compelling philanthropic opportunities. Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience managing donor relationships and successfully soliciting gifts
- Demonstrated ability to secure gifts at the $1,000+ level and deepen donor engagement
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to connect with diverse audiences
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Experience collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Familiarity with CRM systems or donor databases
- Experience in nonprofit fundraising or development
- Exposure to major gifts or capital campaign fundraising
- Experience working with executive leadership, board members, or volunteers
- Understanding of donor strategy and portfolio management
- Ability to travel locally within New Hampshire for donor meetings and events
- Flexibility to attend occasional evening or weekend events
