Intern, Asset Management Highway (Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur)

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Assist the Senior Principal Engineer in collecting technical data and supporting the review and evaluation of third-party proposal submissions within the required timeline and quality standards.
• Support the Senior Principal Engineer in meetings with PLUS, authorities, and third parties to discuss technical comments and ensure compliance with expressway standards and PLUS maintenance policies.
• Coordinate with internal units within NMM’s Engineering Office to obtain technical inputs for third-party proposal reviews.
• Assist in site visits for major third-party projects together with PLUS prior to the review of proposed designs.
• Support post-construction site inspections and assist in preparing inspection reports for submission to PLUS.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Internship candidates or fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Basic knowledge of highway engineering, road maintenance, and expressway standards/guidelines such as MHA Guidelines, AASHTO, and Arahan Teknik Jalan JKR is an added advantage.
• Able to understand and review basic engineering drawings, including earthworks, structural, and drainage drawings.
• Fast learner with good analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic engineering software/tools.
