Job Description: Applications Support

We are seeking an Applications Support professional to join our growing team. In this role, you will support large installations, including servers and applications, as well as other assigned software. You will be part of a highly collaborative team and receive mentorship from the Lead Application Support to further develop your skills.

Role Responsibilities

  • Operations & Monitoring:
  • Monitor system health, alerts, logs, and dashboards to proactively detect and triage incidents.
  • Technical Troubleshooting:
  • Investigate application-level issues and perform deep root cause analysis (RCA) to identify underlying faults.
  • Incident Prioritization:
  • Assess incident severity and business impact to prioritize critical issues for immediate resolution.
  • Deployment Support:
  • Execute and monitor manual and automated deployments using CI/CD tools, and perform post-deployment validation.
  • Documentation:
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, such as runbooks and knowledge base articles, to improve team efficiency.

Must Have Qualifications

  • Communication:
  • Mandatory fluency in both written and spoken English and Chinese for effective communication with regional stakeholders and clients.
  • Experience:
  • Hands-on experience in application support, production support, or technical operations for web-based systems.
  • Education:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Problem Solving:
  • Structured approach to troubleshooting and the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks under pressure.
  • Flexibility:
  • Willingness to work rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Nice to Have

  • Databases:
  • Basic SQL troubleshooting, including reading/diagnosing queries and validating data conditions.
  • Tools:
  • Proficiency with log analysis and monitoring tools.
  • Systems:
  • Understanding of web applications, APIs, distributed systems, and Linux/server fundamentals.
  • Scripting:
  • Knowledge of Java, SQL, Shell, or Python.
  • Automation:
  • Experience with CI/CD tools for deployment monitoring and validation.
