About the Role: As the Founding Design Engineer at Daisy, you will be the architect of both the user experience and the interactive frontend for the world’s most advanced dairy intelligence platform. You will own the end-to-end process, from defining how global food processors interact with AI to writing the code that brings our predictive analytics to life. By collaborating across research and product teams, you will translate messy numerical data and complex forecasting models into intuitive, highly visual dashboards, enabling rapid iteration and the secure delivery of novel features to factories around the world.

Responsibilities:

• Define and Build the UX: Lead the end-to-end design process, focusing on user-centric design and rapid prototyping to develop and maintain the highly interactive Daisy production application.
• Visualize Outputs: Translate complex mathematical forecasting models into clear visual insights, building intuitive UI modules for timeseries, YoY volume comparisons, global supply heat maps, and quality metric tracking.
• Engineer the AI Interface: Architect and build the frontend experience for the Daisy chatbot. You will design for the unique constraints of non-deterministic outputs and handle API outputs, specifically managing SSE-based incremental text streaming.
• Enforce Client-Side Security: Integrate your frontend builds directly with Supabase, strictly adhering to Row Level Security (RLS) filtering.
• Track & Iterate: Monitor user engagement and feature adoption using PostHog analytics to drive rapid, data-informed iteration.

Qualifications:

• Hybrid Design & Code Mastery: Proven experience designing complex B2B SaaS platforms with absolute expertise in Figma, paired with frontend engineering expertise in Next.js, React, TypeScript, and TailwindCSS.
• Data Fluency & Visualization: Deep experience using modern libraries to visualize massive, complex datasets, making deep mathematical forecasting feel accessible and intuitive.
• AI/Agent UI Experience: Strong familiarity with LLM system design, agentic workflows, and designing for the unique constraints of streaming AI responses.
• Product-Minded Agility: A "bias for action" and the ability to thrive in a high-intensity, zero-to-one startup environment.
