Location: Delray Beach, Florida

Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift

Salary: $77,500 - $87,500 annually

Join Our Team as an RN/LPN Unit Manager

West Delray Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced RN/LPN Unit Manager to join our leadership team. In this vital role, you will support the Director of Nursing (DON) and Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in delivering high-quality resident care while effectively leading and mentoring nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the DON and ADON in overseeing daily nursing department operations
  • Ensure nursing staff adhere to established policies, procedures, and job responsibilities
  • Address resident and family concerns, ensuring proper resolution and reporting
  • Manage unit operations, including staffing coordination and coverage
  • Monitor staffing efficiency to reduce overtime and limit agency usage
  • Provide supervision, guidance, and performance management for nursing staff
  • Implement progressive discipline when appropriate
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
  • Teach, demonstrate, and evaluate clinical skills and competencies
  • Oversee MDS completion and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on care planning and discharge processes
  • Prepare reports, review documentation, and assist with audits and data collection
  • Support recruitment efforts, including interviewing and hiring staff
  • Foster a compassionate, resident-centered care environment
  • Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as needed
  • Attend meetings and committees as assigned

Qualifications

  • Active and valid RN or LPN license in the state of Florida
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Prior experience in long-term care strongly preferred
  • At least 6 months of experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
