Commercial Finance Manager
⚙What will you do?
- Modelling and analysis/presentation of client pricing, sensitivity analysis, summaries of alternative commercial options in co-ordination with Finance, Commercial, Operational and Business Development
- Model potential future savings / glidepaths on mid-range and complex bids
- Challenge Country and Regional finance teams, to ensure that the pricing is accurate, competitive and delivered on time against bid timetable; Manage groups through complex activities and tight timescales
- During the negotiation phase analyse data for scenarios, investment approvals and revise bids
- Support growth via site mobilizations, including handling data for solutioning and
- due diligence for sites; Contribute to and critique the pricing of mobilisation and
- transition on mid-range / medium complexity bids
- Develops assumptions and risk analysis throughout the bid and mobilization process
- Work with other finance professionals to evolve models to establish and share best
- practice
- Build and identify potential changes to modelling to improve efficiency / functionality
- Demonstrate an ability to understand more complex specifications, draft effective
- clarifications questions and identify risk and opportunities
- Attend and support client presentations where required.
- To draft and/or review and negotiate appropriate data protection provisions in
- clients/suppliers contracts.
- Take the lead on presenting financial and commercial information to Senior
- Leadership by providing all the elements and scenarios needed to assess risk/reward
- and enable decision making
🤙What You Need to Succeed:
- Bid experience is desirable
- Can manage own workload and those of others on a bid
- Can communicate complex bids and concepts verbally, in writing and using visual
- presentations
- Active member of the Pricing Team and of Bid Teams and develops good working
- relationships with SME's
- Demonstrates commitment by working flexibly as required and helps others to
- maximise their output.
- Strong time management skills
- Demonstrates an ability to produce the required output, on time and to the
- appropriate accuracy and clarity
- Is comfortable with change and makes proposals for change and continuous
- improvement mindset
- Understands customer requirements - bid specific and what's typical for different
- client sectors
- Leads meetings where appropriate, ensuring the function of the meeting is clear, that
- attendees understand their role and outputs / actions are clear
- Ensures prices have a clear audit trail (inputs, calculations, outputs, assumptions),
- even where the process was complex, ensures any ad hoc modelling is similarly clear
- Enthusiasm to partner the business and willingness to develop and improve ways of
- working
- Advanced Excel skills with an ability to manipulate and handle large volumes of
- unstructured and bespoke data for differing client bids
- Degree Educated in Finance or similar analytical area
