Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Hamburg, Germany, for a Finance Manager. The Finance Manager will oversee financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities, ensuring efficient budgeting, forecasting, and compliance. Responsibilities include managing accounting operations, analyzing financial data, preparing reports, optimizing financial performance, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The role also involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to support business growth and identify areas for financial improvement.


Requirements

  • Strong background in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and accounting in accordance with HGB.
  • Proven experience in managing accounting operations, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Advanced capabilities in data analysis and financial modeling, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.
  • High proficiency in financial systems and tools, particularly DATEV and Microsoft Excel (including advanced functions such as modeling, pivot tables, and automation).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline, complemented by relevant professional experience (e.g., in Big Four firms or management consulting).
  • Fluency in both German and English is required.
  • Prior experience in retail is considered a plus.
