Key Responsibilities
- Support the execution of M&A transactions, from origination through closing
- Build and review financial models, including valuation, merger, LBO, and scenario analyses
- Prepare client presentations, pitch materials, and information memoranda to a high professional standard
- Coordinate due diligence processes, working with clients, legal advisors, accountants, and internal stakeholders
- Assist in the drafting and negotiation support of transaction documentation
- Contribute to business development efforts, including market mapping, company analysis, and idea generation
- Mentor and oversee the work of Analysts, ensuring accuracy, rigor, and development of junior talent
- Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, market conditions, and client strategies
- 3+ years of relevant experience in investment banking and M&A advisory
- Strong technical skills in financial analysis, valuation methodologies, and accounting
- Demonstrated experience working on live transactions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong attention to detail, commercial judgement, and problem‑solving skills
- Fluency in German and English is essential
- Experience covering German or DACH clients
- Exposure to sponsor‑backed transactions
- International experience or cross‑border deal exposure
- Progress toward, or completion of, professional qualifications
