Responsibilities
- Completion and documentation of quality assurance related checks and audits
- Review of plant documentation and data and verification of product conformance to specification
- Monitor compliance with plant GMP’s and established procedures
- Develop and update plant standard operating procedures and work instruction/training materials
- Participate in and assist in leading sensory panels and sensory training
- Completion of equipment/process validation and shelf life studies
- Assist QA personnel with 3rd party audit preparations
- Identifying and assisting with process improvement projects
- Collecting and analyzing production floor data to identify issues and improve processes
- Assist in new product trials and data collection
- Working alongside supervisors and management to resolve plant non-conformances
- Present results of project work to upper management at conclusion of internship
- Other duties as assigned
- Must be enrolled in and completed your sophomore year (by time of start date) at a credited College or University in food science or another science related field.
- Able to perform duties required in an office and manufacturing environment in accordance with GMP’s and safety guidelines
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team to complete projects
- Have reliable transportation to and from working location.
