Position

Senior Technical Project Manager – Single-Cell & Spatial Transcriptomics

📍 Location: South Plainfield, NJ (On-site)

🧬 Department: Biopharma Services (Non-Lab)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex genomics projects focused on single-cell RNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics, and advanced NGS applications from project initiation through final delivery.

• Serve as the primary scientific and technical contact for clients, providing consultation, troubleshooting, workflow guidance, and project updates.

• Support customers with experimental design, sample preparation recommendations, platform selection, sequencing strategy, and data interpretation.

• Coordinate closely with laboratory operations, R&D scientists, bioinformaticians, and external collaborators to ensure project success and timely execution.

• Manage multiple client projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of communication, organization, and customer satisfaction.

• Troubleshoot technical and operational challenges related to library preparation, sequencing performance, data quality, and workflow optimization.

• Facilitate project meetings, prepare technical summaries, track timelines and deliverables, and ensure effective cross-functional communication.

• Assist in developing and improving SOPs, customer onboarding materials, and internal technical training resources.

• Support commercialization efforts by working with business development and scientific teams on customer engagements and technical presentations.

Qualifications

• PhD in Molecular Biology, Genomics, Immunology, Bioinformatics, or related Life Sciences field.

• 2+ years of experience in NGS services, genomics research, biotech, or translational science environments.

• Strong hands-on knowledge of single-cell RNA-seq and/or spatial transcriptomics platforms is highly preferred.

• Experience with platforms such as 10x Genomics, Parse Biosciences, STOmics, Visium, Xenium, CosMx, or related technologies is a strong plus.

• Deep understanding of NGS workflows, library preparation, sequencing technologies, and genomics data analysis concepts.

• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills with the ability to explain complex scientific concepts clearly.

• Strong organizational and project management abilities in fast-paced environments.

• Experience supporting biotech or pharmaceutical clients is preferred.

💵 Salary: Starting from $85,000+ (commensurate with experience)
