- Represent DataServ in a positive manner to colleagues, customer base and vendors
- Work and support of wired and wireless network infrastructure, routing and switching, telephony, firewall, video surveillance and access control solutions
- Add and delete users as required on network servers and applications
- Perform both routine and emergency maintenance
- Analyze, recommend and evaluate new hardware and software products for network compatibility
- Develop, maintain and update a library of technical documentation
- Assist with staging activities for telephony, wireless, network, and data center installations, as well as various other solutions as needed
- Participate in customer project meetings
- Keep current on new developments and techniques in information technology
- Participate on special projects and Technical Assistance Center (TAC)
- Develop processes, implement effective workflows and embrace best practices
- Provide redundancy and backup support for other team members
- All other duties as assigned
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant prior work experience
- Technical certifications and/or technical training in local and wide area networks and/or communications
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification required within 90 days of employment
- Obtain additional certifications, as required
- Availability to work nights and weekends as scheduled
- Must be able to travel to various company and customer sites as required
- Experience with technology manufacturers (i.e. Cisco, Microsoft, HP, Dell, etc.) preferred
- Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills, in both collaborative team and customer-facing environments
- Deliver exceptional service to both internal and external customers
- High degree of professionalism to appropriately act as a representative of the organization
- Candidates must successfully pass a drug test and appropriate background checks
