Market Analyst

We are seeking a commercially minded Market Analyst with experience in CFD and broader financial markets, including research, brokerage, trading support, or financial media. The role is open to candidates based in Sydney or Melbourne.

This is a high-visibility position within a fast-paced trading and research environment, focused on delivering clear, timely, and actionable cross-asset market insights. Strong market understanding and the ability to communicate complex ideas simply will be highly valued.

About the Role

This role combines cross-asset market analysis, macro monitoring, and structured market communication, with a strong focus on delivering clear, timely, and engaging insights across equities, indices, FX, commodities and rates.

It is ideal for candidates with 3+ years of experience in financial markets — or strong communicators with solid market knowledge who are ready to step into a high-visibility analytical role. You will work closely with a senior strategist while developing your own market judgement and analytical voice.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Market Coverage

• Monitor and analyse global and Australian markets.
• Identify and explain the key drivers behind price movements.
• Produce concise, structured daily market updates.
• Track macro catalysts including central bank decisions, inflation data and earnings releases.

Technical & Tactical Analysis

• Conduct chart-based analysis using trend, momentum and key-level frameworks.
• Prepare “Chart of the Day” style insights.
• Translate technical setups into clear risk/reward narratives.
• Support short-form video or visual market content.

Communication & Presentation

• Produce publish-ready written commentary.
• Support webinar materials and presentation decks.
• Deliver insights in a clear, confident and client-friendly tone.
• Contribute to public-facing market updates.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience

• At least 3 years in financial markets, research, brokerage, trading support, or financial media.
• Or strong academic background in finance, economics or a related discipline with demonstrated market knowledge.

Technical Skills

Solid understanding of:

• Multi-asset markets, including equity, forex and commodity
• Macro drivers (rates, inflation, USD dynamics).
• Technical analysis fundamentals.
• Familiarity with charting platforms (TradingView, MT4/MT5, Bloomberg or similar) is preferred.

Communication Skills

• Clear, structured writing ability.
• Comfortable presenting ideas in meetings or on camera (preferred but not mandatory).
• Ability to simplify complex market themes.

Personal Attributes

• Curious about global markets and cross-asset analysis.
• Strong verbal communicator with professional presence.
• Disciplined and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable working under market time pressure.
• Commercially aware — understands trader psychology.
