Director of Finance

We are supporting a confidential search for a senior finance leader to join a privately held, investment-focused organization. The role is central to shaping financial strategy, strengthening planning discipline, and delivering actionable insights to support executive decision-making.

Role Overview & Mandate

This role will lead the firm’s financial planning and analysis function, acting as a key partner to senior leadership and business unit heads. The focus is on enhancing forecasting accuracy, improving financial visibility, and supporting long-term strategic and operational planning.

Budget: Up to $280K base + bonus.

Core Accountabilities

• Own and lead the annual budgeting and multi-year planning cycles
• Develop and maintain forward-looking financial forecasts linked to key business drivers
• Analyze revenue performance across multiple fee-based and recurring income streams
• Deliver high-quality reporting and insight packages for executive leadership and governing bodies
• Ensure financial data integrity in coordination with accounting and control functions
• Build and refine financial models to support scenario planning and strategic evaluation
• Provide decision support to business leaders on performance, profitability, and resource allocation

Background & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (advanced degree or certification preferred)
• 8–10+ years of progressive experience in finance or strategic finance roles
• Strong exposure to planning, forecasting, and management reporting functions
• Experience within financial services, advisory, investment, or similarly structured environments
• Familiarity with recurring revenue and performance/fee-based business models
