Sr. Manager – Business Excellence (Digital & AI Anchor Role)
Role Overview
We are looking for a high-impact Sr. Manager - Business Excellence to anchor our Digital & AI transformation journey across JU AgriScience and Tropical AgroSystem.
This is not a backend analytics role - the incumbent will act as a bridge between on-ground business operations and data and AI platform infrastructure, working closely with plant teams, functional heads, and leadership.
The role demands strong field engagement, structured problem-solving, and change management capabilities to translate fragmented workflows into scalable, data-driven processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Data & Process Audit
- Conduct a comprehensive audit of existing business processes and data ecosystems, including:
- Excel-based trackers
- WhatsApp-driven workflows
- Manual and semi-automated reports
- Identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and data gaps across business units
- Build a current-state (AS-IS) process landscape
2. Stakeholder Discovery & Requirement Gathering
- Conduct structured interviews and workshops with SPOCs across:
- Sales
- Marketing
- Finance
- Supply Chain
- Plant Operations
- Understand operational workflows, decision-making needs, and reporting pain points
- Translate business requirements into structured problem statements
3. Process Design & Standardization
- Design standardized data templates, formats, and submission frameworks
- Develop TO-BE process maps for key workflows
- Ensure processes are:
- Scalable
- Digitization-ready
- Automation-friendly
- Collaborate with tech/data teams to enable downstream system integration
4. Digital Transformation & Change Management
- Act as the change champion for digital initiatives across both organizations
- Drive adoption of new systems, apps, tools, and processes
- Manage resistance and ensure smooth transition from manual to digital workflows
- Conduct training sessions and create user adoption playbooks
5. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with:
- Plant Managers
- Operations Heads
- Finance Controllers
- Corporate Leadership
- Ensure alignment between business needs and digital capabilities
- Serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) for business excellence initiatives
6. Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor junior team members
- Guide them on
- Data collection and validation
- Process documentation
- Field-level coordination
- Ensure timely delivery of project milestones
Key Deliverables
- End-to-end data audit reports across both entities
- Documented AS-IS and TO-BE process maps
- Standardized data collection frameworks/templates
- Adoption roadmap for digital tools and workflows
- Measurable improvement in data accuracy, availability, and process efficiency
Candidate Profile
Experience
- MBA / PGDM,4-8 years of total experience
- Minimum 2-3 years in: Client-facing roles or Cross-functional business roles
- Prior work experience in Manufacturing / FMCG companies preferred
