Robert Half's client in Phoenix is seeking an onsite, Marketing Manager/ Director. The Marketing Manager/ Director is a senior leader responsible for defining and leading company-wide marketing strategy. This position is accountable for strengthening brand equity, deepening customer relationships, and accelerating revenue growth through integrated, data-driven marketing efforts. This individual will serve as the primary contact for marketing strategy, ensuring the organization remains competitive and responsive to evolving market demands. The ideal candidate excels at combining creativity, analytical insight, and leadership to drive brand growth, client engagement, and revenue.
Essential Functions
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with overall business goals.
- Ensure marketing initiatives directly support revenue growth, brand positioning, and long-term market competitiveness.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align marketing with sales, product development, and customer experience strategies.
Brand and Customer Management
- Lead brand development, positioning, and stewardship to ensure a strong and differentiated market presence.
- Oversee customer engagement strategies to deepen relationships and improve loyalty across all touchpoints.
- Ensure consistent messaging and brand standards across digital, social media, traditional advertising, and influencer marketing channels.
Marketing Operations
- Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of marketing campaigns across channels.
- Manage market research, pricing strategies, advertising contracts, and promotional activities such as contests or giveaways.
- Monitor marketing performance, analyze data and KPIs, and make data-driven decisions to enhance effectiveness and ROI.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing marketing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
- Ensure the marketing organization consistently delivers high-quality work that aligns with strategic priorities and organizational objectives.
Digital and Analytical Expertise
- Balance creative storytelling with analytical rigor to drive awareness, consideration, and conversion.
- Leverage digital marketing tools and technologies, including SEO/SEM, AI-driven personalization, marketing automation, and growth marketing strategies.
- Champion data-driven marketing practices to enhance targeting, personalization, and performance measurement.
Market Research and Innovation
- Conduct and oversee market research to understand customer needs, behaviors, and preferences.
- Identify target audiences, monitor competitive activity, and anticipate emerging market trends.
- Innovate marketing approaches and test new ideas to maintain and strengthen competitive advantage.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 10+ years of proven experience in senior marketing leadership and brand strategy roles, ideally within the architecture, engineering, or construction (AEC) industry.
- Strong understanding of both traditional and digital marketing channels; proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suites.
- Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and measure marketing effectiveness and ROI.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team management capabilities.
- Strong ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and align marketing strategies with broader business objectives.
