General Manager Mexico | Pharmaceutical Industry


We are looking for a highly strategic and commercially driven leader to head our operations in Mexico and drive the next phase of business growth within the pharmaceutical sector.


The General Manager will be responsible for leading the overall affiliate strategy, accelerating commercial performance, strengthening strategic partnerships, and ensuring successful product launches across the Mexican market.


This executive role requires a strong balance of business vision, operational excellence, stakeholder management, and deep understanding of the local pharmaceutical ecosystem.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the Mexico business strategy aligned with global objectives and regional priorities.
  • Lead commercial growth initiatives through strong partner management, business development, and strategic alliances.
  • Drive successful product launch execution in coordination with Commercial, Medical, Market Access, Regulatory, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Own and manage the affiliate P&L, ensuring sustainable growth, profitability, and market expansion.
  • Identify new business opportunities, portfolio expansion initiatives, and partnership models to accelerate growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities, industry associations, healthcare stakeholders, and key strategic partners.
  • Lead and develop high-performing cross-functional teams across Commercial, Medical, Regulatory, Finance, and Operations.
  • Foster a culture of compliance, accountability, innovation, collaboration, and patient-centricity.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field. MBA preferred.
  • +10 years of senior leadership experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven track record in commercial leadership, P&L management, strategic partnerships, and product launch execution.
  • Strong experience managing distributors, partners, or alliance-based business models.
  • Deep knowledge of the Mexican pharmaceutical market and regulatory environment.
  • Experience in business expansion, tender management, and portfolio development.
  • Fluent English required.


Important:

Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is mandatory. Candidates without prior pharma sector experience will not be considered for this position.
