Financial Recovery Analyst

The Financial Recovery Analyst has the responsibility to advocate for Select Medical and its patients. They will act as a liaison between other departments within the organization to facilitate communication of reimbursement policies, procedures, and resolutions to issues causing delays to cash and accounts receivable management.
- Manage and resolve outstanding high-dollar insurance claims and aged accounts.
- Identify billing issues and work with leadership to find solutions.
- Analyze payment trends and ensure reimbursements align with contracts.
- Work with payer representatives to resolve claim disputes.
- Research state and payer regulations to support collections.
- Train and support colleagues as needed.
- Proven and exceptional oral and written communication skills (making outbound calls and receiving inbound calls)
- Strong organization and follow up skills
- Excellent problem solving, resolution skills
- Prioritization skills and ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work independently with minimal instruction or supervision (after initial training)
- Required to be proficient in Windows based office technologies (ex. Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- College Degree, relevant health care certification or equivalent experience
- Previous claims processing experience
- Stable work history
- Previous experience with financial applications, account payable or accounts receivable
