🚀Founding Product Manager
⚡Series A Identity & KYB
📍Hybrid in NYC
Our client is a Series A, high-growth B2B technology company operating in the compliance and risk space. They serve a large and established customer base across highly regulated industries, providing data-driven solutions that help organisations verify, onboard, and monitor third parties more effectively.
This is a rare opportunity to be the company's first dedicated Product Manager, reporting directly to the CTO. You won't be inheriting a roadmap - you'll be writing one. The role carries a dual mandate: defining and scoping new products as the company expands into new markets, while maintaining disciplined execution on the existing product surface.
It is a hands-on, high-ownership position with genuine influence over what gets built, why, and when.
Responsibilities
- Lead the scoping and definition of new products targeting adjacent markets, from initial thesis to detailed product spec
- Write PRDs, one-pagers, wireframes, and decision logs that align the business and enable engineering to ship
- Own the roadmap for existing products - sequencing priorities and making daily calls that keep engineering focused on the highest-leverage work
- Partner closely with design on UX, with clear opinions on craft and a high bar for what ships
- Drive cross-functional execution across engineering, design, sales, marketing, and customer success
- Own the full launch process from scope lock through to GA, with clear handoffs at each stage
- Act as the connective tissue between what's being built and what's being sold and supported
Requirements
- 5+ years in product management, with at least one zero-to-one product scoped, shipped, and grown into material revenue
- Proven ability to work as a true thought partner with senior engineering leadership - not a ticket-writer
- Strong written communication; writes specs and briefs that move decisions forward without unnecessary meetings
- Technically fluent enough to hold your own in architecture conversations
- Founder-level ownership mentality - you identify what's broken without being told
- Background in B2B SaaS, compliance, risk, or data-driven enterprise software
- Experience as a first or early PM hire at a venture-backed startup
