Robert Half is looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to support our client's (non-profit industry) payroll operations at their corporate office. This role is responsible for maintaining employee payroll records, coordinating payroll processing across assigned groups, and addressing questions or issues with professionalism and discretion. The ideal candidate brings hands-on payroll experience, strong data accuracy, and the ability to work confidently with third-party payroll platforms in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Weekly and Bi-Weekly payroll processing for up to 500 employees
• Reviewing time sheets
• Enter and verify payroll changes such as new hires, returns to work, separations, position changes, and pay rate updates.
• Audit timekeeping information, reconcile reported hours, and confirm payroll data is correctly submitted each pay period.
• Investigate payroll variances and correct discrepancies, omissions, or calculation issues in a timely manner.
• Serve as a point of contact for payroll-related questions from employees, internal departments, and authorized third parties.
• Administer user access for payroll systems and maintain supporting documentation for permissions and related records.

• 3+ years of payroll administration experience with responsibility for full-cycle payroll processing.
• Experience handling multi-state payroll in an environment supporting approximately 101 to 500 employees.
• Working knowledge of payroll procedures, payroll data maintenance, and issue resolution best practices.
• Hands-on experience using UKG Pro and coordinating payroll activity with third-party payroll providers.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage sensitive information accurately and confidentially.
• Ability to review time and pay data, identify inconsistencies, and resolve issues efficiently.
• Effective communication skills for responding to payroll inquiries clearly and professionally.
