Key Role: The Marketing & Communications Coordinator is a creative, detail-oriented storyteller who helps bring Urban Youth Impact's mission to life across multiple platforms. Working closely with the Chief Development Officer, this person leads the execution of our annual appeal plan, develops compelling content, manages donor communications, and ensures our brand shows up with excellence across every channel.

  • Manage and execute the annual appeal plan across integrated marketing, communications, and event channels in coordination with the Chief Development Officer and Database Administrator.
  • Create and oversee content across all platforms - including email/e-newsletters, social media, website, video, photography, graphics, and programming stories.
  • Write and design donor communications that are targeted, relevant, and mission-centered.
  • Manage marketing and communications for organizational events, including printed and digital materials, signage, apparel design, and technical logistics.
  • Build and maintain relationships with outside vendors for outsourced projects, ensuring quality and brand consistency.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Development Team and other departments, gathering program updates and translating them into compelling stories for donors and the public.
  • Keep the Development Team informed of program needs and organizational happenings relevant to fundraising and communications.
  • Participate in Urban Youth Impact development events (including the Golf Tournament, 5K, and similar fundraisers) in a general support capacity (assisting with setup, registration, and day-of event operations).

Qualifications: 2-year degree or equivalent experience; background in fundraising, sales, ministry, or community engagement preferred; proficiency with Microsoft Office and graphic design tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite), social media platforms preferred; experience in multi-cultural environments a plus; reports to the Development Director; 40 hours weekly; FLSA exempt; Applicant needs to have an understanding that UYI is primarily a religious organization.

Salary: $40000 - $40000 per year
