Senior Software Engineer

Senior Software Engineer - Go, K8s, Infrastructure | Up to €105k B2B + PTO & Stock | Remote (EU)

A leading software company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Go & Kubernetes (under the hood, operators, controllers, etc.) to join one of the fastest-growing projects in the Cloud Native space. The ideal candidate will be a strong Go engineer with extensive experience working with cloud native technologies and infrastructure tools. Kubernetes experience is also essential, ideally low-level k8s experience.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and operate backend services, Kubernetes operators, and controllers in Go across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Solve infrastructure-layer problems - networking, scheduling, storage, compute, or container runtime internals.
• Build and maintain high-throughput services (gRPC/REST) and async orchestration workflows.
• Shape public and internal APIs.
• Leverage and improve AI-powered development workflows.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, on-call, and customer deep-dives.

Qualifications:

• Strong backend fundamentals and production-grade coding in Go, ideally with hands-on Kubernetes internals, cloud infrastructure, or large-scale distributed systems.
• Deep knowledge of EKS, GKE, or AKS internals, or low-level Linux experience: process internals, networking (NAT, iptables, conntrack, SDN), filesystems, or storage.
• Familiarity with container runtimes (CRI-O, runc, containerd) or CRIU, and cloud storage depth - block storage, CSI, volume management, or filesystem internals.
• Kubernetes or cloud-native OSS contributions a strong plus.
• Clear English communication, self-directed, and comfortable building where there's no playbook.
