Core Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end retail (B2B) inventory performance for the DACH market, including optimal and actual partner stock levels, availability, aging, and write-off risk across channels.
- Define and implement the BU inventory strategy in partnership with Regional and Global Supply Chain and Market Operations, BU Operations, Sales, Commercial Development, Marketing, and Finance.
- Lead inventory governance routines, presenting insights and recommendations to senior collaborators up to Director and VP level.
- Drive working-capital optimization through proactive management of important launches, slow-movers, excess stock, and phase-in/phase-out transitions.
- Build and maintain analytics, dashboards, and reporting frameworks that provide transparency into inventory metrics and enable data-driven decisions.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align on forecast accuracy, replenishment policies, and service-level targets.
- Identify and lead continuous-improvement initiatives across inventory processes, systems, and ways of working.
- Act as the subject-matter expert on inventory topics for the EUC BU, driving the Inventory Management functional and leadership agenda.
As Inventory Manager, you will bring value by influencing an optimized product mix at retailers, driving the right distribution of LEGO products across the market and ultimately helping to get them into the hands of shoppers and consumers. Sitting at the intersection of demand, supply, commercial, and finance collaborators, the role safeguards inventory health across the BU, drives working-capital efficiency, and ensures product availability aligns with sales ambitions and the LEGO Group's long-term growth agenda.
Do You Have What It Takes
- Proven experience in retail inventory management within a multinational FMCG, retail, or consumer goods organization — retail front-end focus is essential (not warehousing).

- Strong analytical capability, with the ability to synthesize data from multiple sources and translate findings into clear recommendations for senior colleagues.
- Strong storytelling and communication skills — able to manage the narrative, simplify complexity, and drive retail mutual value creation with commercial partners.
- Customer collaboration mentality with a track record of building positive relationships with retail partners.
- Ability to tackle complex problems in volatile environments, prioritize effectively, and drive better business outcomes.
- Collaborative and cross-functional by nature; thrives in matrixed, global environments.
- Strong command of SAP and Business Warehouse, advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, SQL, and VBA for reporting, automation, and analytics.
- Fluent English and preferably German — both written and verbal
- Curiosity and willingness to challenge the status quo, in line with LEGO Group leadership behaviors.
