Role Overview/Purpose
The Vice President will play a critical role in supporting Glenmark’s transformation towards an innovation led organization. The role will focus on key specialty areas including Respiratory, Dermatology, and Oncology, spanning both in-house developed and in-licensed products. The incumbent will be responsible for driving near-term launch excellence while building long-term commercial capabilities, ensuring a coordinated and strategic approach across European markets, including the UK. With full accountability for business performance, this leader will drive revenue growth, strategic planning, and operational excellence across the speciality portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic and P&L Leadership
- Own and drive the P&L for the Europe speciality business, ensuring sustainable revenue growth and profitability.
- Develop and execute commercial strategies and long-term business plans aligned with the EU portfolio and global innovative business.
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and therapeutic advancements to identify growth opportunities.
- Define and drive portfolio strategy, managing product lifecycles from pre-launch through maturity.
- Identify capability gaps (e.g., market access, field force effectiveness, analytics) and support the development of scalable solutions across the region.
Operational Excellence
- Lead successful launch of speciality products, ensuring alignment of sales, marketing, and market access capabilities with business objectives.
- Build and scale high-performing commercial teams across sales, marketing, and digital functions.
- Drive sales force effectiveness, commercial analytics, and CRM optimization to enhance execution.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, R&D, Manufacturing, and other teams to enable successful commercialization.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), payers, and patient advocacy groups.
Financial & Operational Accountability
- Own budget planning, resource allocation, and delivery of revenue and profitability targets.
- Monitor Country performance against KPIs and partner with Country managers to drive improvements and optimize financial outcomes.
- Work closely with supply chain and operations to ensure effective demand forecasting and inventory management.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure all commercial activities adhere to regulatory requirements, legal standards, and company policies.
- Oversee medical, legal, and regulatory review processes for all promotional and marketing materials.

Desired Experience and Knowledge
Educational Knowledge
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Business/Management (preferred)
Experience
- At least 15+ years in the pharmaceutical sector with experience in European markets (incl. UK)
- Proven commercial and P&L leadership with experience scaling speciality businesses (oncology/respiratory/dermatology)
- Track record of successful product launches in Europe
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams in matrixed, global environments.
Knowledge and Skills
- Sound understanding of European healthcare systems, pricing, and reimbursement dynamics
- Strong grasp of specialty product commercialization and lifecycle management (oncology/respiratory/dermatology segments)
- Knowledge of regulatory, medical, and compliance frameworks across Europe
- Strong grasp of commercial excellence levers (field force effectiveness, omni-channel, analytics)
- Understanding of end-to-end pharma value chain, including R&D to commercialization
- Fluency in written & spoken English, additional European language is an advantage
