Job Title: Graduate Music Assistant‌

The role

Kensington Prep seeks an outstanding Graduate Music Assistant to join our thriving Music Department from September 2026.

This role is ideal for a highly skilled first study pianist and music graduate who is keen to assist in the wider work of a busy and ambitious Music Department.

The post is particularly well suited to someone considering a future career in music or music education and looking to gain broad, hands-on experience within a leading independent preparatory school.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

To support the Director of Music and the wider Music Department in teaching, performance and administrative activities.

To contribute musically and practically to the daily life of a busy and ambitious department.

To work collaboratively with teaching staff, visiting teachers and pupils in a positive and professional environment.

To gain substantial and wide-ranging experience of music education within a leading independent preparatory school.
