Product Manager – Digital Banking (Onboarding & Acquisition)

Experience - 5 to 8 years

We are looking for a high-impact Product Manager to lead digital onboarding and acquisition journeys across retail banking products. The role involves end-to-end ownership of customer journeys, strong regulatory and technical understanding, and driving measurable improvements in funnel performance and customer experience.


Key Responsibilities

1. End-to-End Onboarding Ownership

  • Lead design and enhancement of onboarding journeys for SA, Credit Cards, and cross-sell products.
  • Ensure intuitive, low-friction, mobile & web-compatible experiences.
  • Partner with design to deliver clear, user-friendly flows.

2. Funnel Optimization

  • Own KPIs from lead → KYC → verification → activation.
  • Analyse drop-offs and deploy targeted improvements.
  • Run A/B tests, refine UX, and optimise content and decision logic to boost conversions.

3. Product Planning & Execution

  • Build product plans, manage milestones, risks, and dependencies.
  • Drive delivery, UAT cycles, defect management, and go‑live readiness.

4. Technology & Decisioning

  • Collaborate with engineering on eligibility rules, fraud checks, and API design.
  • Ensure robust, real-time decisioning within journeys.

5. Documentation & Governance

  • Create BRDs, PRDs, use cases, SOPs, and test scenarios.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and traceability.

6. Regulatory Compliance

  • Interpret and implement RBI/KYC/InfoSec guidelines.
  • Work closely with Compliance, Legal, Risk, and Audit for approvals.

7. Stakeholder Management

  • Align cross-functional teams across business, tech, ops, and compliance.
  • Lead governance forums and ensure smooth execution.

Success Metrics

  • Improved funnel conversion & reduced drop-offs
  • On-time releases, minimal post-launch defects
  • Zero critical audit findings & compliant documentation
  • Higher digital sourcing contribution and reduced onboarding costs

Ideal Candidate

  • Experience in product management within banking, fintech, or digital ecosystems
  • Strong knowledge of onboarding, KYC/eKYC, risk & regulatory frameworks
  • Hands-on with BRDs/PRDs, user journeys, rule engines, APIs
  • Analytical mindset; experience with Adobe/analytics tools
  • Excellent execution, communication, and stakeholder management skills
