Role Overview
- Participate in Mitsubishi Power’s IGNITE Internship Program gaining hands-on engineering experience in a collaborative environment.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing, repair, and field service teams while developing specialized component engineering skills.
- Take ownership of assigned component families, ensuring safe, high-quality delivery aligned with customer requirements.
- Apply foundational engineering knowledge to real-world turbine component challenges and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop foundational knowledge of gas turbine sub-assemblies, measurements, drawings, and standards.
- Support manufacturing operations through process improvements, testing initiatives, and floor engagement.
- Lead and contribute to continuous improvement (CI) and process optimization projects.
- Interpret technical reports, specifications, and work instructions accurately.
- Document and maintain quality processes, standards, and compliance requirements including ISO 9001 support.
- Assist with automation integration and elimination of non-value-added activities to improve efficiency.
- Support component repair projects including scope definition, process mapping, and documentation.
- Serve as technical support resource to resolve component issues and ensure quality and compliance.
- Develop and maintain repair templates, specifications, and work instructions.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure on-time project completion and inspection readiness.
- Provide engineering input for product/process improvements, reporting, and customer updates.
- Maintain high standards of safety, integrity, confidentiality, and effective communication.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering
- Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, reports, and industry materials.
- Ability to make sound engineering judgments based on specifications and technical requirements.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and technical or programming tools.
