Overview
The Contracts Specialist provides support for the various stages of the contract management process. The Contract Specialist is responsible for reviewing and editing contracts according to the terms and parameters established to meet the needs of the client and sales team while also complying with organizational standards and protocols
Responsibilities
oCompletes primary review and validate all executed contracts, confirming compliance with internal policies and best practices.
oSupports the end-to-end contract process for renewals and new business
oServes as a primary point of contact questions
oParticipates in regular review of contracts
oPrepares and edits contracts in accordance with internal polices and best practices that meets both the needs of the business and the client.
oExercises good judgment through the contract drafting and negotiation phase
oFacilitates changes or adjustments as requested by the sales team or client. Uses moderate discretion in determining course of action.
oCollaborates with finance, legal, compliance, sales etc. to review and align on complex or ambiguous contract terms.
oReviewing signed agreements and updating contract terms
oManages contracts in contract management application
Qualifications
oBachelor's degree required
oParalegal, Legal Secretary, or prior experience working with contracts preferred
oBasic knowledge of contract law, types of contracts, terms and conditions, legal requirements and the negotiation process.
oExperience with contract systems or automated software
oHighly organized and able to multitask
oFast-paced and deadline driven
oExcellent verbal and written skills
oDemonstrates good judgement and problem solving
