Join Treasury’s Intergovernmental Relations team as a Senior Treasury Analyst, where you will shape national policy and funding agreements that influence outcomes across Queensland. You will provide strategic advice on complex intergovernmental issues spanning social policy, infrastructure, and major funding arrangements, while working closely with agencies and jurisdictions. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-impact negotiations, support budget and policy development, and engage with senior stakeholders across government to drive economic and policy outcomes for Queenslanders.

Your new opportunity

As a Senior Treasury Analyst, you will play a key role in advancing Queensland's intergovernmental policy and funding agenda. Working within the Intergovernmental Relations team, you will provide high-level advice on national agreements and policy issues, contributing to whole-of-government priorities. You will engage with a diverse range of stakeholders and support critical decision-making processes that influence economic, financial, and social outcomes across the state.

In This Role, You Will

  • Provide advice, information and support to senior management and stakeholders on intergovernmental agreements across social, industry and economic policy areas.
  • Prepare complex reports, submissions, briefing notes and policy documentation, often within tight timeframes, including for national forums.
  • Work collaboratively with policy teams and other departments to support policy development and intergovernmental negotiations.
  • Contribute to budget planning, development and monitoring, including oversight of intergovernmental financial agreements.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support policy and program outcomes.

What Experience You Will Bring

  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Broad policy expertise and capability in risk or project management.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively on complex, time-sensitive tasks.
  • Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
