We are seeking a highly motivated Bioinformatician / Bioinformatics Scientist to support bioinformatics and operational workflows across discovery and translational research programs. This role will play a critical part in enabling data-driven decision-making through analysis, automation, pipeline development, data management, and cross-functional support for biology and platform teams. The ideal candidate will combine strong computational skills with excellent organizational and communication abilities in a fast-paced biotech environment.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize bioinformatics pipelines and operational workflows supporting RNA-focused discovery programs.
- Analyze and interpret large-scale biological datasets including RNA-seq, qPCR, screening, and other omics datasets.
- Build and maintain reproducible analysis workflows using Python, R, shell scripting, and version control best practices.
- Manage code repositories and collaborative development workflows using Git/GitHub.
- Partner closely with biology, chemistry, platform, and operations teams to streamline data flow and improve research efficiency.
- Assist in maintaining and integrating laboratory information management systems (LIMS) such as Benchling.
- Generate automated reports, visualizations, dashboards, and internal tools to support project teams and management.
- Contribute to SOP generation, documentation standards, data integrity practices, and workflow troubleshooting.
- Support cloud or HPC-based computational workflows as needed for scalable data processing.
- Maintain clear experimental and computational records and contribute to study reports and presentations.
- Stay current with emerging bioinformatics tools, RNA biology technologies, and industry best practices.
- M.S. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biology, Computer Science, Biostatistics, or related discipline with 5 years of relevant industry experience; OR Ph.D. with 2 years of industry experience.
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or R, including experience building reproducible analysis pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with Git/GitHub and collaborative software development practices.
- Prior biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience strongly preferred.
- Experience working with LIMS platforms such as Benchling or related laboratory data systems preferred.
- Experience with RNA biology, RNA therapeutics, transcriptomics, or oligonucleotide-based therapeutics.
- Experience handling biological datasets and applying statistical or computational analysis methods.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
