Job Title: IT Desktop Support Specialist

Overview:

Join a dynamic and growing team as an IT Desktop Support Specialist, where your technical expertise and customer-focused approach will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the company's technology infrastructure. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, troubleshoot diverse hardware and software issues, and support users across the organization. You'll be part of a small but vital team that ensures seamless IT operations, with potential career growth into networking, cloud administration, or systems management.

Required Skills:

  • 2-3 years of experience with Active Directory, including GPOs, user account management, and scripting (PowerShell preferred)
  • Experience with VMware vSphere or similar virtualization platforms
  • Knowledge of mobile device management platforms such as Kaseya or JAMF
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting network issues related to TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware issues, including laptops, desktops, printers, and peripherals
  • Experience with enterprise VoIP solutions and server patching

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 (M365) applications
  • Familiarity with group policies and on-premises infrastructure management
  • Working knowledge of structured cabling and data closet maintenance
  • Basic understanding of cloud environments including AWS or other cloud platforms
  • On-call experience or availability for after-hours support

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (equivalent industry experience may be considered)
  • 2+ years in an IT support role supporting enterprise environments
