Senior Associate, Strategy & Operations, AV Marketplaces

You will partner across cross-functional teams to diagnose marketplace opportunities specific to AV marketplaces, develop strategic recommendations to maximize the value of AVs on our network and accelerate our growth in AV marketplaces more broadly, and help drive implementation against some of our most important marketplace priorities. You will also help shape our competition strategy in AV markets, identifying where and how we should compete to strengthen marketplace outcomes over time. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical problem-solving, sound business judgment, and the ability to move from insight to action in complex and evolving environments.
What The Candidate Will Do
- Drive marketplace strategy and execution: Help shape and operationalize strategies that improve marketplace performance across AV-related market contexts.
- Diagnose AV marketplace opportunities: Analyze marketplace performance, customer experience, and competitive dynamics to identify key risks and opportunities.
- Lead competition strategy: Help define how we compete in AV marketplaces by assessing market structure, competitor behavior, and the interventions needed to strengthen our position.
- Lead cross-functional problem solving: Partner with Operations, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, and Data Science to drive alignment and execution against priority initiatives.
- Inform leadership decisions: Synthesize data and insights into clear recommendations that support strategic decision-making and business planning.
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, economics, management, finance, or similar field
- 5+ years of experience in operations, strategy, product, growth, or cross-functional program management
- Strong SQL skills and experience solving ambiguous problems by leveraging large data sets (Python or R experience is a plus)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Data-driven mindset, tied to strong business acumen, to turn insights into action
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and building 0-to-1 initiatives
- Experience influencing stakeholders, especially Tech, to drive alignment and business objectives
- Deep understanding of Uber's pricing stack
- Experience launching new products or growing adoption in cross-functional environments
- Customer obsessed with a deep understanding of what makes a rider and driver experience outstanding, both within and outside of an app
For Canada-based roles: The base salary range for this role is CAD$123,000 per year - CAD$137,000 per year. For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$131,000 per year - USD$145,500 per year. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$131,000 per year - USD$145,500 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
