Assistant Buyer Part-Time

An Assistant Buyer PART-TIME at Smith and Loveless is administrative in nature to assist the purchasing and production teams with data entry, follow-up, printing and copying.
Job Duties
- Assist with product selection and sourcing.
- Help manage purchase orders, track deliveries, and maintain accurate records of purchases.
- Monitor inventory levels and provide recommendations for reordering products to prevent shortages.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve any product discrepancies or issues.
- Maintain and update product catalogs, pricing, and other related documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of reports on purchasing activities, inventory, and sales trends.
- Other duties as assigned by Purchasing Manager.
- Must be able to commit to work at least 20 hrs/wk from Lenexa, KS year-round.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent. Some college preferred.
- Previous experience in a purchasing or office administrative position preferred, but not required.
- Must possess strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- Have well developed problem-solving skills, time-management skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Required to sit, stand and walk.
- Use hands and fingers to feel objects, tools or controls.
- Frequent stooping, bending, pulling and pushing.
- Reach with hands and arms.
- Required to talk and hear consistently.
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry and/or drag up to twenty-five (25) pounds if necessary.
- Ability to ascend and descend two (2) flights of stairs.
