We’re currently seeking a highly motivated, repetition-loving individual for the full-time Insect Packing Technician position in our Insect Department (Owosso). As an Insect Department team member, you’ll assist with minimizing order delays or shortages, improving upon inefficient production processes, and increasing the quality of care for our critters. Your primary responsibilities will include order fulfillment and routine production and husbandry for silkworms and springtails.
The ideal candidate for this position is someone who respects critters (even the smallest ones), enjoys doing the same core tasks for hours each day, and isn’t deterred by getting dirty. If that sounds like you, we encourage you to apply!
- Full-time (40 hours per week), Monday through Friday (8:30 AM to 5 PM)
- $16.00/hour starting wages
- This position requires the use of a respirator, as well as completion of respirator fit testing and respirator safety training in accordance with OSHA standards

- Order fulfillment (pulling, counting, and packaging) of silkworms and springtails

- Experience with insect/microfauna care/husbandry
