About the role

We are looking for a Head of Finance GSA to lead and strengthen our finance operations in Germany and Switzerland. In this role, you act as the key business partner to the General Manager in Germany, combining strong knowledge of German law with a pragmatic, hands-on finance mindset. You will work closely with HQ, translate expectations into clear KPIs for your team, and ensure that financial processes are robust, compliant and future-proof.

This role is ideal for a senior finance professional ready for a next leadership step, or an experienced Head of Finance who enjoys being close to the details while driving change.

Key responsibilities

• Act as strategic sparring partner to the GM, supporting business decision-making
• Full responsibility for the German and Swiss legal entities
• Ensure full compliance with German law within an international, Dutch-headquartered environment
• Lead, coach and develop a small finance team and set clear KPIs aligned with HQ expectations
• Oversee operational finance activities such as invoicing, bookings, month- and year-end closing
• Prepare and coordinate audits and year-end closing

What you bring

Required

• 7–8+ years of hands-on finance experience in an operational role
• Strong experience with operational finance tasks such as invoicing, bookings and closingsDeep expertise in German law and financial regulations
• Native-level German and full professional proficiency in English.

Preferred

• Leadership experience or readiness to step into a first formal leadership role
• Experience with Dutch organisations or Dutch finance practices is a strong plus
