Veterinary Practice Partners | Marketing Team


Veterinary Practice Partners (VPP) is looking for a Marketing Associate to join our growing Marketing Team. This role works behind the scenes to support our Marketing Business Partners (MBPs), who manage marketing for regions of 50 to 70 veterinary hospitals. The Marketing Associate is the engine that lets MBPs spend more time advising hospital owners and driving new-client growth.


The right person brings a “can-do” attitude, strong initiative, flexibility, and a polished demeanor. You’ll juggle creative, strategic, and administrative work across a portfolio of hospitals and learn the full breadth of multi-unit healthcare marketing as you go.


AI is core to how our team works. We expect this person to actively use or have interest in learning AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, and whatever comes next) to draft, design, research, and move faster. If you’re already using AI to get more done in a day, you’ll fit right in.

Responsibilities

  • Support a team of Marketing Business Partners with the day-to-day execution of marketing programs across their hospital regions, including project coordination, asset management, and follow-through on MBP priorities.
  • Produce creative deliverables that hospitals and MBPs rely on, including flyers, in-hospital signage, one-pagers, slide decks, social graphics, event collateral, and hospital-specific campaign materials, built in PowerPoint, Word, Canva, and other tools, with AI used to accelerate drafting and design.
  • Help shape strategic recommendations for hospitals by pulling together background research, competitive snapshots, market context, and proposed marketing plans MBPs can present to hospital owners.
  • Own administrative tasks that keep the marketing engine running: email support, data entry, file organization, proofreading and QA, vendor billing updates, and meeting coordination.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with marketing vendors, hospital teams, and cross-functional partners (Operations, Finance, IT, Talent). Coordinate with the Digital Marketing team as needed on website updates and lead generation requests.
  • Assist with onboarding marketing services for newly affiliated hospitals, including centralizing vendors, updating billing, and supporting MBPs through the transition.
  • Continuously look for ways to use AI tools to make MBPs and the broader marketing function more efficient, and share what’s working with the team.
  • Take on additional projects as the Marketing Team and VPP continue to grow.


Qualifications

  • 1 or more years of relevant marketing, agency, or marketing-coordination experience preferred. This is a great role for someone just starting off in their career looking to learn about a variety of aspects of marketing.
  • Active user of, or strong interest in learning, AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) for writing, design, research, summarization, or task automation. Comfort talking about how AI fits into your workflow, or how you’d like it to.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Canva (or comparable design tool); comfort building marketing collateral.
  • Strong organizational focus and attention to detail.
  • Creative and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Clear, concise, and effective verbal and written communication.
  • Capable of multi-tasking and effectively prioritizing in a fast-paced environment supporting multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to execute against several workstreams simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Driven and goal-oriented with a desire to learn and grow into broader marketing roles.
  • Interest in veterinary medicine, pets, or healthcare marketing is a plus.
  • Optimism and a sense of humor.
