Founded in 1922, The Stony Brook School is a co-ed Christian college-prep boarding and day school for grades 7-12 on a 55-acre campus on Long Island's North Shore. We unite academic rigor with authentic Christian faith in a diverse, global community.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess
- A bachelor's degree in English, Literature, Education, or a related field (master's degree strongly preferred)
- Three or more years of teaching experience
- A demonstrated growth mindset and enthusiasm for developing as a teacher, mentor, and colleague
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- A desire to serve in a faith-based educational environment that emphasizes Christian scholarship and character formation
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with a team of educators
- Expertise in planning and delivering mission-aligned curriculum and lessons with clear objectives, strong materials, and thoughtful assessments that move students toward growth and mastery
- Experience leading discussion-based English classes (such as Socratic seminars, Harkness, and other student-centered approaches) that cultivate close reading, clear writing, and respectful dialogue forming Christian virtue and character
